I get it—finding a therapist who really gets you isn’t easy. As a Black and Indigenous woman, like so many of us, I searched for mental health care that I felt connected with no success. That’s what sparked my professional path into becoming a therapist. My mission? To create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported in ways that honor who you are.

Abby The Clinician
I studied Psychology at the University of Phoenix, got my Master’s in Clinical Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family, and picked up certifications in EMDR, Sex Therapy, and Safe Sound Protocol along the way. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with high school students in Cape Town, South Africa, supported families in low-income areas here, and even helped pre-polyamorous couples explore new relationship dynamics. Basically, I’ve been around the block a bit, and I bring all of that to our work together.
Since 2017, I’ve been living a pretty unconventional life—traveling to 34 countries with my kids (who I homeschool) and my partner of over 20 years. Travel has taught me to embrace different cultures, perspectives, and ways of being. It’s made me more humble, more open, and definitely more adventurous. Along the way, I’ve taught English in Vietnam, started a nonprofit for young women to continue their education, and helped with agricultural projects in Malaysia. These experiences have shaped me, and they influence how I show up as a therapist.
A Life On The Move
Therapy With Me?
When I'm Not Being A Therapist

You can probably find me exploring a new place, diving into a cooking class, devouring a book, or even trying to learn how to sail. I’m all about living life fully and inspiring others to thrive in their own way.
It’s all about you. I work from a client-centered, holistic, evidence-based approach, but in plain language: we’ll focus on what you need. I’m all about reducing the need for labels and rigid diagnoses. I use tools like sound, movement, and art to help create a healing space that feels right for you. I’m compassionate but direct—think of me as that supportive friend who’s always in your corner, but isn’t afraid to be real with you. This is your space to show up, just as you are, and feel truly accepted.
